Chad Kurdi, P.E.

Mr. Chad Kurdi is an online PDH course provider of continuing education for CEDengineering.com.

Mr. Kurdi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Adult Education. He is a registered electrical engineer in 37 states. Mr. Kurdi holds a Class A master electrician license from the State of Minnesota. Currently, he is a senior electrical engineer & department head at BKV Group (A&E Firm with offices in Chicago, Dallas, DC & Minneapolis).

Mr. Kurdi has been serving the electrical industry for over 30 years as engineer, electrician & trainer. He has engineered (design, specify & analyse) government buildings (police stations, sheriff’s offices, fire stations, city halls, Court houses, libraries & Jails), Housing buildings (Affordable, senior, assistant, memory care, adaptable use & student), hospitals, data centers, sport arenas, commercial office buildings, water/wastewater treatment plants and electric utility distribution & substations.

Mr. Kurdi’s electrician experience includes estimating, laying out, wiring, installing & maintaining electrical systems for residential & commercial buildings.
In addition, Mr. Kurdi has developed and taught thousands of seminar hours over the years at Dunwoody College of Technology, Minnesota Electrical Association, IEEE & others. The Seminars include NEC Code, electrician’s exam, MV system, electrical wiring, apprenticeship, estimation, electrical design, Revit MEP & project management.

Mr. Kurdi served as NCEL Board Member (Jan 2021 – Present), IAEI MN Chapter President (Jan 2018 - Jan 2023), Chair of IEEE Twin Cities PES/IAS (Aug 2019 - Jan 2023), Minnesota State Board of Electricity Member (Jan 2018 - Jan 2020).

Chelliah Sundararajan, Ph.D., MASCE, FASM

Dr. Chelliah Sundararajan is an online PDH course provider of continuing education courses for professional engineers.
 
Dr. Sundararajan received his BE and ME degrees from India and his PhD from University of Waterloo, Canada. He has over 40 years of experience in a wide spectrum of civil, mechanical and aerospace engineering projects at Lummus Company (Canada), Foster Wheeler Corporation (USA), EDS Nuclear and Impell Corporation (USA). Currently he is the President of EDA Consultants in Houston, Texas.
 
Dr. Sundararajan is an ASCE Member and ASME Fellow. He has published more than 50 technical papers and two books. He is the recipient of ASME Best Paper award in 1986. He has taught or teaches three-day professional development courses on "Structural Vibration Analysis," "Probabilistic Structural Design" and "System Reliability Engineering."

Cory Horton, P.E.

Mr. Cory Horton is an online PDH course provider of continuing education courses for professional engineers.
 
Mr. Horton earned his BS in Civil Engineering and his MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Wisconsin Madison. He is a licensed professional engineer  and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Horton has worked in the engineering profession for over 20 years. He has worked for the public sector and currently works in private consulting. He has extensive experience in water resources, geotechnical, structural, and environmental engineering. Mr. Horton conducted research on the remediation of contaminated soils using air sparging. Mr. Horton is a Certified Floodplain Manager and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.
 
Currently, Mr. Horton has a focus on land development, stormwater, wetlands, and erosion and sediment control. Mr. Horton serves several regulatory agencies as a technical expert for land development issues. Mr. Horton is responsible for reviewing stormwater permits, creating and updating stormwater ordinances, storm water management plans, wetland conservation act enforcement, and environmental impact reviews. He is also a project manager for projects including; low impact development, bioengineering, water quality studies, lakeshore stabilization, stream bank stabilization, land development, and slope stabilization. Mr. Horton conducts educational seminars for engineering professionals and recently presented at the technical session of the Midwest Groundwater Conference.
 
Mr. Horton is also experienced in landfill design and permitting, environmental investigations and permitting, coastal engineering, water resources analysis and design, geotechnical investigations, structural analysis and design, stability analysis, and computer modeling.
