Evaluating Existing Concrete Structures with Masonry Infill Walls by Nonlinear Static Analysis
This online engineering PDH course presents information on evaluating existing concrete structures with masonry infill walls by nonlinear static analysis using Csi ETABS software.
This course provides an understanding of the structural role of Unreinforced Masonry (URM) infill walls with concrete structures along with illustrating the effects of URM infill by listing the guidelines/standards followed by modelling infill walls as struts. In addition, this course describes the six steps of the pushover analysis using Csi ETABS.
This 1 PDH course is applicable to civil and structural engineers who are interested in gaining knowledge on how to use Csi ETABS software for the purpose of evaluating existing concrete structures with masonry infill walls using nonlinear static analysis.
This PE continuing education course is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Familiarizing with the required technical data which enable engineers to accurately evaluate the existing concrete buildings by nonlinear static analysis
- Understanding the nonlinear behavior of concrete building with infill masonry panels
- Learning the importance of masonry infill walls (partitions) in concrete structures
- Knowing how to model infill walls and include them in structural analyses by Csi ETABS software
- Learning how to do nonlinear static analysis for fast evaluation of existing concrete building
- Understanding how to identify the structural safety of any existing concrete structures
