Kansas State Requirements

PDH's Required:
30 Units
Renewal Period:
Biennial by April 30 as follows: Even years for engineers with last names starting with one of the letters A through L. Odd years for engineers with last names starting with one of the letters M through Z
Course Pre-approval:
The State Board does not pre-approve courses. You must select a course activity that meets your State Board criteria.
Sponsor Pre-approval:
The State Board does not pre-approve continuing education sponsors.
Course Applicability:
At least 24 PDH's must address health, safety, property, and welfare. The remaining PDH's must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical or managerial content. All our on-demand continuing education programs, i.e. Online document-based Courses, Video Presentations, and Interactive Courses, are prepared in-line with Clause 20a of the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions Continuing Education Guidelines. They include study material, final graded test, and a certificate of completion. In addition, our system generates receipts of purchase and email confirmation of registrations. Furthermore, our system allows users to interact with our instructors via email, ensuring that no queries are left unanswered. Therefore, they are considered Correspondence Courses and NOT Self-Study Courses. For any further questions or clarifications, feel free to inquire directly with the KS Board of PEs.
Online PDH's:
There are no limitations on the number of PDH's earned online.
PDH Deferral:
Up to 15 PDH may be carried over into the next renewal period.
