Radiological Control: Conduct of Radiological Work

This online engineering PDH course presents information about the conduct of radiological work in accordance with the department of energy regulations. The sections in this course focus on planning and preparation of radiological work, entry and exit requirements, radiological work controls, evaluation performance, special applications, as well as design and control.
DOE regulations for occupational radiation protection require written authorizations to control access to and work in radiological areas. The level of detail included in such authorizations is dependent upon facility hazards and the nature of the work force. Technical requirements for the conduct of work, including construction, modifications, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning, should incorporate radiological criteria to ensure safety and maintain radiation exposures as low as reasonably possible.
This 4 PDH online course is applicable to engineers, design and construction personnel, and other technical professionals who are interested in gaining a better understanding on the conduct of radiological work.
This PE continuing education course is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Planning and preparation for radiological work
- Establishing entry and exit provisions
- Controlling radiological work
- Evaluating the performance of radiological work
- Establishing design criteria and control procedures
