Nevada State Requirements
PDH's Required:
30 Units
Renewal Period:
Biennial by: January 1 of odd years for engineers with last names starting with one of the letters A through E. July 1 of odd years for engineers with last names starting with one of the letters F through K. January 1 of even years for engineers with last names starting with one of the letters L through R. July 1 of even years for engineers with last names starting with one of the letters S through Z.
Course Pre-approval:
The State Board does not pre-approve courses. You must select a course activity that meets your State Board criteria.
Sponsor Pre-approval:
The State Board does not pre-approve continuing education sponsors.
Course Applicability:
The course must be relevant to the profession of engineering and may include technical, ethical or managerial content. In addition, of the 30 PDHs required, at least two (2) PDHs in professional ethics and one (1) PDH in the provisions of chapter 625 of NRS and NAC, Nevada engineering statues and regulations shall be obtained each renewal period.
Online PDH's:
There are no limitations on the number of PDH's earned online.
PDH Deferral:
Up to 15 PDH may be carried over into the next renewal period.
